About the Band

The band began in January 2007 as the writing project of Adam ‘Drummer Boy’ Sinclair, James ‘Jay-P’ Peacock and f’reez, called project:three.

Two months, and two songs, later they were joined by Graham ‘Speedo’ Sinclair and Edd Carr.

The chemistry that the five created was incredible and the decision to not only form a 5-piece, but to also go for the kill with recording a full-length album was taken. mamacoca was born.

mamacoca blends emotions drawn from Herbie Hancock to Led Zeppelin - and back to Stevie Wonder - producing a funky union of Soul and Jazz. Some say they’ve got the funkiness of Jamiroquai on a liberal diet of Quincy Jones.

The debut album ‘Secrets’ was released in February 2008 through eegluu:records. And whilst the CD delivers superbly crafted tunes, you only get half the story. mamacoca are at their happiest and craziest when you see them as they were meant to be, live on stage.

mamacoca is:
Graham Sinclair (bass)
Adam Sinclair (drums/percussion)
Edd Carr (guitars)
James Peacock (keys)
f’reez (vocals)
